intro
the pilot hi-tec-c is an extremely popular gel pen for artists, journalers, students, and more. its most popular for coming in super-fine sizes, with the smallest tip being .25mm, but it is also popular for requiring little effort and gliding across paper with ease
i tested the .5mm and the .25mm versions, read how they did below
body
the body of the hi-tec-c is simple, and pretty unique looking, however it can be a bit uncomfortable to use in long-writing sessions because there is no grip
writing
the .5mm tip has been my daily pen for a while now, and i can confidently say it is one of the best gel pens on the market
it glides across paper with ease, and requires almost no pressure at all to write extremely consistent lines
the .25mm is pretty scratchy, and is not very comfortable to write with, even in short writing sessions
even as someone who isn’t the biggest fan of fine pens like this, there are definitely better options that are more comfortable to hold
here are some photos, sorry for low quality :(

final thoughts
the hi-tec-c is a pretty good pen for everyday use, there are a lot of little things that can be annoying, but i think the writing being as smooth and consistent as it is makes up for it, so i think that as a gel pen, the hi-tec-c is pretty good, but as a fine pen it is just okay
.5mm 8.5/10 [] .25mm 5/10
